Day 1:

You’ll visit the largest square in the world – Tiananmen Square. Walk through the Gate of Heavenly Peace, to enter the Forbidden City, where the 24 emperors of the Ming and the Qing Dynasties ruled the Middle Kingdom for nearly 500 years (1420-1911) – view the world’s greatest cultural heritage. Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, followed by a visit to the Pearl Museum. In the afternoon, tour the Summer Palace – the best preserved and the largest imperial garden in China. In the evening, savor a specially prepared meal of Beijing Duck, cooked to crispy perfection. The evening will end with an acrobatics show.

Day 2:

In the morning, you will visit the Capital Museum’s displays of archaeological items and reproductions of scenes from ancient Beijing. This will be followed by a visit to the Temple of Heaven built in 1420, the temple where emperors went to worship heaven for good harvests. Later, you can stop to take photographs of the National Grand Theater, a futuristic, signature building. This will be followed by a trip to the peculiar Silk Museumand then the Xiushui Market. This large international shopping market is almost as popular as the Great Wall and the Imperial Palace! Dinner will be served at a local buffet.

Day 3:

After breakfast, you will take a scenic drive through the countryside to reach China’s most renowned monument – the Great Wall. It is the most famous military ancient strategic pass. On the way back, you will stop by the Boehner Jade Museum – the largest jade museum in the world. In the afternoon, recapture the welcoming spirit of the 2008 Beijing Olympics by stopping to photograph two of its most iconic venues – the “Bird’s Nest” (Beijing National Stadium) and the “Water Cube” (National Aquatics Center) where Michael Phelps won his 8 gold medals. Afterwards, enjoy a knife show and a dinner at one of Beijing’s many popular restaurants.
