Dr. Khaled Hassanein is a Professor of Information Systems and the Chair of the Information Systems Area at the DeGroote School of Business, McMaster University. He is also the Director of the McMaster eBusiness Research Centre (MeRC).  He specializes in the areas of technology adoption, human-computer interaction, and human-centric decision support systems. Dr. Hassanein has a successful track record of securing research funding from federal, provincial and private sector organizations in Canada. This funding has been used to mount a successful research program in the above areas involving collaboration with other researchers and graduate students. His research activities have resulted in over 75 peer-reviewed publications in academic journals, conference proceedings and book chapters to date. Prior to joining McMaster, Dr. Hassanein was a Senior Research Associate with NCR’s Payments Solutions division in Waterloo, Ontario. There he led several advanced development projects related to the automated processing of financial documents, and the data warehousing and mining of financial transaction data. He is a joint holder of several U.S. patents, a senior member of the IEEE and a designated Professional Engineer in Ontario.
