Professor Yueting CHAI graduated from the Department of Automation, Tsinghua University in 1991. He is a professor at  Department of Automation, Tsinghua University.
He has served as deputy chief engineer of the State CIMS Engineering Research Center, and  served as deputy director of the Department of Automation, System Integration Institute, National CIMS Engineering Research Center for Modern Logistics and E-Commerce Research Office.
